BidPay.com Inc., a unit of CyberSource Corp. that processed payments
for online auctions, ceased to operate on Dec. 31.
CyberSource, citing continued financial losses and unsuccessful attempts
to enter agreements for strategic alliances and investments, says its
board decided early last month to discontinue BidPay.com’s operations
and take an expected one-time charge related to the shutdown ranging

A pity it's gone. It seemed to have changed ownership a number of times but a few years ago I used to use it for paying for goods purchased in the US. It was one of the restricted number of payment methods, other than PayPal, allowed on eBay. Probably the growing success of Google Checkout was the last nail in the coffin. |
