With millions of fight fans around the world preparing for the much anticipated Mayweather V Pacquiao "Fight Of The Century" an entirely different fight has been happening online. Online marketplaces such as eBay and other alternative sites have seen a massive surge in searches for the fighters memorabilia in recent weeks.

AuctionPriceCheck has been monitoring the increase in popularity in items that range from posters and caps at the lower end of the price scale to signed gloves priced in the thousands. Whilst there are hundreds of items relating to both fighters across various marketplaces the winner in terms of searches each fighter receives is going right to the bell.

Reuters recently reported that some sellers on eBay had seen a ten fold increase in fight related sales since the countdown finally started late February and were struggling to cope with demand. Certainly many buyers are purchasing items for their own collections but a number are taking the gamble of prices rising - especially so in the case of Manny Pacquiao items.

Spokesperson for the newly launched auction & shopping search site confirmed that amongst the top searches so far are signed boxing gloves & posters followed by optimistic searches for tickets. "It's currently very close with a rise in searches in the last day or so but searches for Mayweather related items are just edging it at the moment."

With the eagerly awaited fight about to answer questions years in the making just who will be victorious in online searches? In a possible reflection of the fight itself - it will be very close and could go either way but in this fight at least it's the sellers that will win.
