eBay are predicting that this important trading period will surpass even last years record breaking
run up to Christmas. That will be welcome news for the over 200,000 UK businesses that currently
sell on this popular trading platform. Last year, in the run up to Christmas, eager shoppers on eBay were
snapping up bargains at the rate of 14 gifts per second. With over 19 million Brits visiting eBay UK every

Toys based on the blockbuster Disney animation Frozen look set to feature prominently on Christmas sales charts
after being named on an annual “most-wanted” top 20 list produced by industry insiders.
“It’s going to be a frozen Christmas,” Laurie Schacht of Adventure Publishing, which compiles the annual list, told Bloomberg.
“The appeal is so broad, and it’s such a wonderful story that parents are happy to put merchandise like this in their kids’ hands.”
It will come as little surprise to parents that Loom bands make an appearance on this years list, but classics
like Monopoly and Thomas the Tank engine are also featured, with an updated personalised version of the popular board
game. Similarly offerings from Lego have seen a resurgence in popularity over recent years and feature again this
year on many a wish list.
